What is a doula? There are different types of doulas for example Rhaine is a Full Spectrum Doula which means she deals with every stage of pregnancy including death and abortion. You can get her full services or you can tell her which one of her services you need. Below are the different types of doulas: Birth Doula A “birth coach” or “birth companion,” or a “ birth worker” a birth doula provides non-medical support to birthing people (and often their partners and families) before, during, and immediately following childbirth. Sibling Doula A sibling doula is on call as labor approaches to provide child care to the new baby’s older sibling(s). The doula is then on call to come at any time of day or night and stays with older siblings until several hours after birth. She handles all the necessary transportation, feeding and care while parents are busy with labor and birth. She may also be available to bring older children to the hospital, if the parents ask. Postpartum Doula A postpartum doula focuses on the postpartum period of pregnancy . Childbirth may feel like the finish line of pregnancy, but it’s also a new beginning. Postpartum doulas support parents and newborns through the “fourth trimester” and all the changes to their lives, bodies, and families. If you or someone you know are in need of a doula book us Miscarriage Doula Losing a pregnancy can be a heartbreaking experience. A miscarriage doula helps people cope with the emotional and physical aftermath of pregnancy loss and often provide ongoing support for future “rainbow” pregnancies and births. Abortion Doula An abortion doula specializes in providing emotional, physical, and informational support to those considering, seeking, or undergoing an abortion. This can be a very difficult time, and sensitivity and compassion are of the utmost importance. Bereavement Doula A bereavement doula supports families dealing with grief and loss due to a miscarriage, stillbirth, adoption loss, surrogacy loss, terminal diagnosis, or other pregnancy-related bereavement. They also often provide support during subsequent “rainbow” pregnancies. Death Doula An “end of life doula,” a death doula offers emotional, spiritual, physical, and logistical support to people who are dying. In many cases, their work also includes assisting families and other caregivers before, during, and after the loss.

What do I do if I notice signs of infections? If you notice the baby's belly button is getting red that shows a sign of irritation which can lead to a potential infection.
