Service Description
Lotus birth is the gentle, intentional practice of allowing the umbilical cord to remain attached until it naturally separates from the baby—typically within 3 to 10 days after birth. This quiet transition honors the sacred bond between baby and placenta, inviting a peaceful start to life without disruption or detachment. At Rhaine’s Holistic Haven, each Lotus Birth experience includes: A custom Lotus Birth Kit (placenta bowl, herbal blend, sea salt, and breathable wraps) Preparation consultation and education Care instructions for preserving the placenta Energetic and spiritual guidance for cord care and honoring the sacred pause Optional ceremonial add-ons such as cord blessings, altar guidance, or a closing ritual are available to deepen this sacred rite of passage. 🌿 Rooted in reverence, guided by peace—your baby’s first days deserve a gentle beginning. The placenta will slowly dry out and decay, and eventually, the cord will fall off from your baby’s belly button. The placenta will probably have a smell as the blood sits stagnant that is why you and/or your doula will salt and herbs on the placenta as it dries out and changes it every couple of days until cord falls off on it's own.
Cancellation Policy
24hrs for services except birthing bundles If you cancel doula services after entering this agreement but prior to six weeks before your estimated due date, your $150.65 retainer will be forfeited and nothing more will be owed. Cancellation of services within six weeks of your estimated due date will result in a $400.65 total charge. In the event that circumstances beyond anyone’s control that prevent your doula from attending your birth, such as rapid labor or medical emergency, the above “cancellation” policy will apply and the total due within one week following the birth will be 300.65. If a doula does not attend your birth as a result of your failure to contact the doula in a timely manner, the full balance of $400.50 will be due within one week following the birth.
